Domestic Violence Awareness Month 2021

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month!

In October of 1987, Domestic Violence Awareness became a month-long observance, meant to share information and support for victims and survivors of DV. 34 years later, there is still a lot of work to do, and Arkansas Valley Resource Center is asking everyone to join in!

In 2020, AVRC saw 450 victims of Domestic Violence.
As of the end of August 2021, AVRC has already seen 299 Domestic Violence victims.

There are many ways you can join AVRC in showing your support throughout the month:
Donate or Volunteer at your local service provider.
–Snap a selfie wearing your favorite purple outfits for Purple Thursday, on 10/21/21!
–Wear a purple ribbon throughout the month of October.
