Colorado Gives Day is December 10th, 2019. Since 1987, The Arkansas Valley Resource Center (AVRC) has been providing services to women and children who have been victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. In 1996, those services were extended to serve all victims of all violent crimes in the 16th Judicial District (Bent, Crowley, and Otero Counties). AVRC relies in part on public and community donations to continue these services. Every donation counts toward in-kind funds, and can also provide victims of violent crime with the things they need to survive and move forward from their victimization.
Your donations are absolutely INVALUABLE!
“But how can I donate to AVRC?” you may inquire.
Glad you asked! Donations can be made so many ways. Did you know AVRC has its own Paypal? On our website’s home page, there is a big yellow DONATE button on the right hand side, or you can just follow this link:
Donations can also be made at the AVRC office, and can include donations of food, clothing, household & cleaning supplies, toys, diapering supplies, and so much more! If you are curious as to what exactly AVRC is needing at any given time, please review our wish list for options:
Soups (Canned or Cup)
Another valuable donation is that of your time! AVRC is always looking for volunteers. This can include working with victims of violent crime, helping with administrative tasks, or simply assisting with office and building maintenance.
Any donation is deeply appreciated and your kindness means everything to AVRC Staff and the victims we serve. Feel free to contact AVRC Staff if you have any questions or donations. Staff is available 24/7!
